Who asked you if you wanted to be born in the first place? Do you wish "you'd never been born or died when you was young?" If you is a human bein', a Homo Sapien, you started being self-aware by the time you was 3 or 4. By then it was too late. One random male sperm had already united with one unique female ovum and in a flash of light you sprang into existence. There ain't no one like you, no and never will be agin. But you only live in the body that developed from that tiny zygote, the rest of you is a spirit, like God. Your time down here on the planet don't last very long, so it behooves you to make sure about a lot of things--especially since you is already immortal.
Life down here on this crowded planet is indeed ephemeral. Like it or not you is Accountable to God already! Wake up, You is mostly Software not Hardware.
Just about everyone I know doesn't know what "time" it is! Well, "Now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation." The hour is late, the time is short for everyone on earth right now.
You ought to be aware by now that everything down here is also pretty much broken and confused right now and thangs ain't goin' to get no better by themselves. Even incurable optimists run out of steam. You is broken, too, if you is honest!
One glimpse of God can unmake the best of us.
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lofty; and the hem of his robe filled the temple. Seraphs were in attendance above him; each had six wings: with two they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. And one called to another and said:
‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory.’
The pivots on the thresholds shook at the voices of those who called, and the house filled with smoke. And I said: ‘Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!’ Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. The seraph touched my mouth with it and said: ‘Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin is blotted out.’ (Isaiah 6:1-7)
Have you noticed that "time" is really weird? It's actually multidimensional! Take your time to stop and consider how amazing the universe we live in rally is. When God created everything (a few thousand years ago) He also created time! Our Creator Himself is an eternal Being and He lives outside of time as we know it! (See Earth History.) If you know what's good for you, it's wise to number your nanoseconds! You ain't got forever, so make up yo mind, sonny!
For thus says the high and lofty one
who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite. (Isaiah 57:15)
Time is multidimensional and so is space! Get used to it! Before Einstein in 1905 everyone talked about only three dimensions: length, width and height. Albert invented the fourth-dimension; a space-time continuum. But a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then! It's likely there are ten or more dimensions out there which--makes a lot of our science look puny and deficient--which it is.
In case you haven't noticed, life is now becoming surreal and apocalyptic down here on earth. Alien invasions aren't the only cause of our angst.
“God will invade. But I wonder whether people who ask God to interfere openly and directly in our world quite realise what it will be like when He does. When that happens, it is the end of the world. When the author walks on to the stage the play is over. God is going to invade, all right: but what is the good of saying you are on His side then, when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and something else - something it never entered your head to conceive - comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others that none of us will have any choice left? For this time it will God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature. It will be too late then to choose your side. There is no use saying you choose to lie down when it has become impossible to stand up. That will not be the time for choosing; it will be the time when we discover which side we really have chosen, whether we realised it before or not. Now, today, this moment, is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It will not last for ever. We must take it or leave it.” ― C.S. Lewis
According to the Bible, the next major move by God will involve the removal of all genuine followers of Christ from earth, quietly without too many others even noticing. It will come as a shock for the compromised Christian.
Think of the Rapture as a discontinuity in human affairs, a joint in time, a change of seasons. We are NOT going to go back to the good old days! Way better lies ahead if you are in Christ!
"All the Good Times are Lost and Gone."
By the way, it is your present body that traps you in 4D space-time, not your present adverse circumstances in this mortal life. The real discontinuity in time will be felt (and is already happening) to the spiritually reborn ones--the experience of eternal life--the life of God in us--if we know Jesus. To be spiritually dead is to be "left behind"--a fate worse than death. This means that events on earth for those dwelling there will be marked by inexorable events on the calendar in rigid time intervals. Date, time, and place, are right on time. Think of your grandfather's clock!
It will be far different then, and is now, for the "heaven dwellers." Please see City Life. (Don't take my word for all this!) Experience it for yourself. Jesus is glad to give you the grand tour--which is way better than the secular TOE (Theory of Everything). By the way, none of these grand events is further away that the hour of your death! This leads to the vast subject of time travel, portals, new bodies and all that. The many links here ought to be helpful, I pray so.
It is your present body which constrains you to "earth time." Your soul and spirit are already less constrained. We are so accustomed to thinking only in terms of linear (historical) time, it's a stretch when we stop to contemplate eternity. When any person “dies” physically the person (soul and spirit) exits earth time and “instantly” time travels to the next scheduled event in the unseen realm. In thinking about this, forget for a moment our usual understanding of time. Events in the spiritual realm are not simultaneous with events in history for a time traveler. In linear time as understood by an observer trapped on earth, the Rapture and The Judgment Seat of Christ will be seen as far apart. Even a non-believer, upon dying, does not enter limbo, a waiting room, a holding tank, and stay there for the interval in history between his physical death and the Last Judgment. The physical body is what locks us into earth time. The destination we time travel to is different, of course, depending on whether we know Jesus or not. New bodies of one kind or another are already waiting us at our final destination. Concepts such as limbo, purgatory, an intermediate-state body, soul-sleep, waiting rooms, holding pens, or long delays in transit come about because we don't avail ourselves of revelation from God concerning the unseen realm. The church Jesus has been building for 2000 years is nearly finished now and will soon be revealed. Each member of the true church leaves earth time at a different time, yet no one gets to heaven before the rest of us! We ALL arrive in heaven at the same "time!"
If you are "in Christ" now you will always be in Christ. Everything which happens to us is "in Christ." We have been fully immersed into Him once and for all.
In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it." (Colossians 2:11-15)
Jesus said to the thief on the Cross “this day you will be with me in Paradise.” The forgiven thief was immediately there at the destination, along with Jesus, as soon as he died.
ISAIAH 40Comfort, O comfort my people,
3 A voice cries out:
6 A voice says, ‘Cry out!’
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand
18 To whom then will you liken God,
21 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
24 Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown,
25 To whom then will you compare me,
27 Why do you say, O Jacob, |
...should you care to accept it.
